We are now entering our fourth week of praying for the nations, and God is on the move. We have loved partnering with you through prayer on behalf of the five least reached countries in the world. Our King Jesus is returning- and before He does, we are asking for a return TO the King. He is on the move for His people and we believe strongly that He is going to do incredible things in these countries (prayer points below).
Kumar was a leader in a poor, Bangladeshi village that was devastated by poverty, sickness, and disease. Over and over, his village sacrificed their resources to the Hindu and animist deities, asking for a cure for their ailments. There was no response and no rescue and their suffering continued.
But this was not the same story everywhere. There had been stories of a village not far away where something significant was happening. "We have watched these people who have become Christians. Something is happening. We don’t know what it is, but they are different," said Kumar.
This "different" village had previously been visited by a group of missionaries and through them, they radically encountered the Lord. After a miraculous healing, the village begged for the missionaries to tell them about Jesus. From this small village, word spread about a God who hears and acts on behalf of His people. These declarations and the changed lives of these people paved the way for these missionaries to plant churches and reach more villages in the surrounding area.
As Kumar met the missionaries, his world was flipped upside down. It was then that the light met the dark. He experienced Jesus. And it changed everything. After he accepted Jesus as his only Savior, his whole village made the same decision with him. This sparked a movement that passed boundaries and places that had previously been off-limits to missionaries and outsiders were being reached. What started as a group of missionaries praying for a miracle and preaching to the surrounding villages led to more than 150 churches in that region.
The Lord can use a small ember to light an entire wildfire, and it only takes a little bit of light to drive out the darkness. In Bangladesh, Islam is the state religion and it is illegal to evangelize. Christians are being discriminated against and beaten. Even in the midst of persecution, the joy of the Lord is still being shared. People are still coming to salvation no matter the cost. Churches have been growing faster than the population rate for the last 50 years. Let's join in faith with our brothers and sisters in Bangladesh and ask God to continue to move powerfully.
